People will do all kinds of things in their quest for love and companionship, including using a billboard to advertise themselves. It’s an unexpected tactic thatΒ Al GilbertiΒ is using because he’s tired of being single and he’s willing to spend $400 a week on the roadside sign.

The 70-year-old’s 20-foot billboard in Sweetwater, Texas, reads, β€œLonely Male Can Relocate Sweetwater. Seeks Female Marriage Minded, Enjoys Karaoke.” It also includes a photo of Al and he says it’s already getting attention, he’s received more than 400 phone calls and 50 emails in the last two weeks. While the single guy says most of the calls have been from those interested in his money, he’s not losing hope that he’ll find β€œMiss Right” soon.

Al says he’d be willing to move anywhere in the country for the right lady, and he’d even go as far as the U.K. to be with the love of his life. He says he’s a good listener, open-minded, in good shape and has a retirement income, plus, he knows what he wants in a partner. β€œI just want someone loyal, I want someone honest about themselves and someone sincere, that’s going to be coming into something they really want to be in,” Gilberti explains. β€œOf course, I’m somewhat looking for fame with the billboard but I also want to meet the right person.”
